How to play euchre in 60 seconds
- Four players, two teams. Your partner sits across from you. The deck has 24 cards: 9, 10, J, Q, K and A of each suit.
- Everyone gets 5 cards and one card is turned up. Take turns to “order it up” (its suit becomes trump) or pass. If all pass, anyone may name another suit.
- The jack of trump (right bower) is the highest card. The jack of the same colour (left bower) counts as trump and is second highest.
- Follow suit if you can. The highest trump wins the trick, or else the highest card of the suit led.
- The team that chose trump needs 3 of the 5 tricks: 1 point, 2 for all five. Fail and the other team scores 2. First to 10 wins.
