How to score Phase 10 Dice: add the dice you used, Wilds count 0
- On your turn, roll all 10 dice. Set aside the ones you want to keep and roll the rest. You get up to 3 rolls, and you may take back dice you set aside earlier.
- After your last roll, if you made your phase, add up only the dice used for that phase. Wilds score 0. Write it in that phase’s box and update your total.
- If you missed it, you score nothing this turn and try the same phase next turn.
8, 8, 8, 10, W, W → 8 + 8 + 8 + 10 = 34
Tip from the instructions: if you make your phase early in a turn, keep rolling to swap Wilds for real numbers, since a Wild is worth 0.
Two bonuses are worth 40 points each
- Five Phase Bonus: after Phase 5, if your total is over 220 (221 or more), add 40.
- First Finish Bonus: the first player to finish Phase 10 adds 40. Anyone else who finishes Phase 10 later in that same turn gets it too.
The game ends after the first player finishes Phase 10
When someone completes Phase 10, regular play stops. Each other player then gets a last chance: one normal turn of 3 rolls at their current phase. Make it and you score it and roll again for the next phase, until you miss or finish Phase 10. Then the highest grand total wins. The official instructions put the highest possible score at 649.
What’s in the box: 10 dice and a scorepad
- 6 high dice numbered 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, in four colors.
- 4 low dice showing 1, 2, 3, 4 and W (Wild), in four colors.
- Sets, runs and colors work as in the card game. A Wild can fill a set or a run, but for an all-one-color phase it must be the right color too.
