How to keep score in Phase 10

  1. When someone goes out, the round stops. That player scores 0.
  2. Everyone else counts the cards still in their hand:
    • Cards 1–9: 5 points each
    • Cards 10–12: 10 points each
    • Skip: 15 points each
    • Wild: 25 points each
  3. Add the points to each player’s running total.
  4. Tick who made their phase this round. They move up one phase; everyone else repeats theirs.
  5. The first player to complete Phase 10 wins when that round ends. If two players finish Phase 10 in the same round, the lower total wins.

Questions people ask

How do you keep score in Phase 10?

At the end of each round, the player who went out scores 0. Everyone else adds up the cards still in their hand: 5 points for each 1–9, 10 for each 10–12, 15 for a Skip and 25 for a Wild. Write it under their running total, and note which phase each player is on.

Is a low or high score better in Phase 10?

Low. Points count against you. But the winner is the first player to complete Phase 10; points only decide the winner when two or more players complete Phase 10 in the same round.

Does the online score keeper save my game?

Yes. It saves on this device after every change, so you can close the page or lock your phone and pick up where you left off. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no sign-up.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Once the page has loaded, the score keeper works offline. Add the site to your home screen and it opens like an app.

What if we entered a round wrong?

Press Undo to step back as far as you need, or press Fix next to any round in the table to correct it. Totals and phases update straight away.

How many players fit on the printable sheet?

Sheet 1 has columns for up to 6 players, with each player’s phase and running total. Sheet 2 is for up to 4 players and adds a column for each round’s points, so the adding up is easy to check.
